You can’t beat a crafty gift from the heart.  Winter months are little more quiet on Salt Spring Island which gives me the opportunity to do more crafty stuff.  Are you thinking about ditching disposable plastic wraps with a reusable, safe alternative?  Why not create your own beeswax food wraps!  I am offering few workshops where you’ll learn how to make your very own beeswax food wraps. The perfect way to spend an afternoon learning a new skill and a step closer to living more sustainably.

In this fun, hands-on workshop discover how simple it can be to make your own reusable beeswax food wraps, perfect for sealing bowls or wrapping cut fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, cheese or more.

This workshop runs for two hours from 1pm to 3pm.  We will discuss the different materials that go into this project, and you’ll be able to take 5 of your own creations with you home together with an instructional booklet and your nifty new skills to make more at home.

All materials included plus some light refreshments (homemade Nanaimo bars are a big possibility since I participated in the workshop).  If you have some cotton fabric with a nice design that you would like to use please feel free to bring it. (Ideal size of the fabric is no larger than 14” x 20″ and it should be about the thickness of a bed sheet with a tight weave).

No experience necessary, just a positive can-do attitude! Located 5 minutes from Ganges.  Class size is limited to 5 participants only so advance registration is required. Workshop registrations must be pre-paid and are non-refundable. You can register here or if you have at least 3 participants I can do a private workshop, please contact me.
