WHY YOU SHOULDN’T DO YOUR OWN HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHY
Why not have your business stand out among the competition? Your hotel’s potential customers base a lot of their decision making on the photography your website presents. Photography is, after the price of the room, the most vital amplification to your hotel marketing. Photography truly is a big deal and the best investment for your hotel regardless of whether you have one room or a hundred rooms. Good photos help you showcase the benefits of staying at your hotel and will increase your online bookings.
I had the pleasure of working with the Harbour House Hotel on Salt Spring Island in their newly renovated hotel. It features a stunning harbour view and is conveniently located in the town of Ganges.
In almost every case, multiple photos of the hotel rooms needed to be taken and then processed. I personally like processing my RAW photos using the combination of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to create natural and realistic looking photos. Wide-angle lenses helped me to capture the entire room space and show more of its features. This is essential in interior photography because wide shots provide photos with more depth and detail.
Coming to Salt Spring Island? You can stay at the hotel and check them out by booking through TripAdvisor or directly with Harbour House Hotel.
